Mountain Pure Water - Excellent drinking water
from the Ouachita Mountains
Mountain Pure Water, Little Rock, Arkansas,
one of the premier bottlers of water in the central United States, produces a
top quality line of bottled waters and fruit drinks. A new BLOMAX 12 series III
from SIG Corpoplast stretch blow moulder just started production of 12, 16.9 and
20 oz PET bottles.
Mountain Pure Natural Spring Water comes from
deep within the Ouachita Mountains near Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas, an
area recognized for its natural springs. The Spring Water flows naturally and
produces crystal clear, non-carbonated, sodium-free water, with the taste the
customers have come to expect.
All Mountain Pure waters are processed at a plant
in Little Rock by micron filtration, ozonation, and UV light. The products
contain less than 5 mg sodium per 8 fluid ounce serving and meet all state and
federal regulations.
John Stacks, president and owner of Mountain Pure
Water, decided in favour of the BLOMAX 12 Series III, the first stretch blow
moulding machine at Mountain Pure Water, because he is convinced of the solid
German engineering and SIG Corpoplast's reputation. "It's not only the
performance and reliability of the equipment, but also the excellent support I
have experienced with SIG Corpoplast," he said.
Stacks, who is well known in his state and
community, owns Homebank of Arkansas, and several convenience stores. His past
business ventures in milk and dairy packaging led him into the water bottling
business. Since he bought Mountain Pure Water in January 2000, the company has
grown significantly. Its main customer is the Wal-Mart Corporation; however, it
also delivers water and fruit juices to other major companies through their
distribution centers. In addition to filled water and fruit juice bottles,
Mountain Pure Water also produces bottles such as ½ gallon round and square, 1
gallon water jugs, and 2.5 gallon bottles with caps for other companies. There's
more - the entrepreneurial company also manufactures filling equipment custom
built to the manufacturer's specifications for the 2 ½ gallon jugs.
Mountain Pure Water has its own springs from
which it harvests the "excellent drinking water" and is capable of
producing more than 100,000 gallons a day of finished 1 gallon product.
"Even if we are just a regional water company, we are poised for market
growth" added John Stacks. In December 2004 Mountain Pure acquired Real
Pure, a Mississippi based bottling company, "which will increase potential
opportunities for jobs and overall growth." The North American water market
is growing at about 18% per year. And with its new BLOMAX stretch blow moulder,
Mountain Pure is well prepared to benefit from this trend.
