Thomas Werder to become new Head Corporate Communications & Investor Relations at SIG

Neuhausen   Rhine   Falls , August 4, 2005

Effective beginning of September 2005 and following a one-month familiarization period, Thomas Werder (44) will assume the position of Head Corporate Communications & Investor Relations at SIG. The two group functions were recently merged into a single task profile. Thomas Werder can look back on several years of management experience in the corporate and financial communications sector. In recent years, he held similar positions at Day Software and Swisslog. 

Thomas Werder replaces the current Heads of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations, Dr. Matthias Knill and Dr. Thomas Schneckenburger, who will both leave the company of their own accord in September in order to take up new career opportunities in October 2005. The SIG Management extends its thanks to Mr. Schneckenburger and Mr. Knill for their valuable services and dedication to the SIG Group over the past several years.
